Starting any new diet can be hard. Like really hard. So I completely understand when people aren’t able to stick to keto long term.
It can be really overwhelming to restrict calories and learn a whole new way to eat. So, the best way to combat this overwhelm is by preparing.
There are certain things that you can prepare for when you are starting keto.
Having a few keto snacks on hand at all times is a really easy way to be prepared and ensure your success.
There is nothing worse than sticking perfectly to your calorie and macros goals all day, only to load up on carbs at night because you are hungry and nothing else is available.
We live in a fast paced world and are constantly on the go. Between work, and kids, and social obligations, it seems that we are rarely home!
Don’t get caught off guard when the hunger strikes- if you plan your snacks and have a few go to options, you will be much more successful in the long run.
WHAT SNACKS CAN YOU EAT ON KETO?
There are a good number of low carb snacks that are keto friendly. Most of them require a minimal amount of prep and a ton of them are store bought so require NO prep!
Here are just a few ideas for keto snacks to buy:

WHERE CAN I BUY KETO SNACKS?
There are a ton of options on where you can buy keto snacks. You can usually get low carb snacks at the grocery store where you do most of your shopping.
The ones listed below, however, can be ordered online.
And I know that the easier it is for me to get the snacks- the more likely it will be that I have them on hand and stay consistent with the keto diet.
Some common options on where to buy keto snacks include:
WHAT SHOULD I BUY AT THE GROCERY STORE FOR KETO?
This is a great option to copy and paste to save to the notes on your phone. Keep it easily accessible so you always have some keto friendly options to add to your grocery list.
Lunch meat (no honey flavor- watch for hidden sugars)
Half and Half
Full fat yogurt (unsweetened)

KETO SNACKS TO BUY ON AMAZON
This is my favorite option because I use amazon WAY too much. I love Prime and I love how quickly items show up to my house.
It requires minimal effort for me, and I know Amazon is super reliable so I never worry about getting anything late, or getting an item that is low quality.

It’s super important to stay full on keto (and it becomes easier the longer you do it btw)- that is why this protein powder is a really great product to have on hand.

I love me some Walmart, you guys. Their prices are always amazing and now they deliver groceries! You know I’m all about saving time. If you want to get all of your groceries in one place, even if your family isn’t eating keto with you, you can get all of the keto snacks below at Walmart.
STORE BOUGHT KETO ICE CREAM
You guys. If you have a sweet tooth- this is for you! If you are craving chocolate, you can grab a ton of keto friendly chocolate recipes here.
As far as keto ice cream goes, you can absolutely make your own. But sometimes the craving strikes and you want something that requires NO prep.

Is Halo Top keto friendly?
Perfect Keto goes into depth about this in their article. They rank Halo Top flavors from best to worst according to keto diet compatibility.
Based on carb counts, and calories per serving here are their top 3 flavors:

You can get these at practically any grocery store now. I know that my local grocery stores carry Halo Top. Primarily, Walmart, Costco, and Kroger where I am.

WINK KETO ICE CREAM
This is a super great option for keto friendly ice cream you can get at the store. Though this is a great option because its a natural product and has 1g of net carbs per serving.
Seriously, 1g of net carbs. Amazing option.
They are typically available at “specialty” grocery stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joes for example.
