Would you like some delicious keto friendly recipes?
One of the hardest things about starting a new way of eating, is making time to learn about your new lifestyle. There are tons of articles and information out there on the Internet about keto.
A few quick searches and you can see that keto recipes can be intimidating.
You start scrolling and see ingredients you don’t recognize or currently cook with.
And just like that….motivation gone, overwhelm on overdrive
Do you ever stare at your fridge full of food and think…I would rather go through a drive thru?
We have all been there. We can have a fridge stocked with a ton of healthy keto friendly food and still not feel like making anything for lunch or dinner.
If I don’t have something in the fridge, ready to go for lunch, I am MUCH more likely to eat out and ultimately grab something unhealthy, even if I have healthy options in the fridge.
If you can get in the habit of spending some time at the beginning of your week to get your lunches prepared for the whole week- you will be much more likely to actually EAT those lunches instead of running through a fast food restaurant.
So you are ready for some keto smoothie recipes? Ugh I get it. I have been on a smoothie kick for a few weeks now and I am super excited to share some tips with you to make the keto diet a whole lot easier.
WHAT IS THE KETO DIET?
Perfect Keto has been getting a lot of press these days. And as we know with the internet…there are a lot of different opinions on any given product.
The keto diet in general has blown up in the past few years. Actually, a quick Google search returns over 37 million results.
Saying there is a lot of information on the keto diet seems to be an understatement.
Monday through Friday. Like many, I work a 9-5 job and am completely exhausted when I get back home. All I want to do is relax with my hubs and puppies. I can certainly say that I do NOT want to cook for over an hour as soon as I step in the door!
The quicker the meal is to prepare, the more likely I am to resist the urge to run through the drive thru or eat something unhealthy.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time planning time to actually cook breakfast before work.
For a long time, I didn't even eat breakfast. I had a giant thermos of coffee and by 10 am I was shaky and starving.
So, I got smart and started focusing on having some sort of protein for breakfast each morning, whether I felt like eating or not. This allowed me to stop overeating at lunch, and it evened out my blood sugar so I didn't feel shaky or lightheaded in the morning.
The Keto diet seems to be getting a lot of attention these days. For those of you like me, who are not nutritionally savy, I will give a brief definition of the Keto diet.
Basically, it boils down to working with your body and training it to burn fat before it burns anything else. By drastically decreasing your intake of carbohydrates, your body enters ketosis (ahem- keto, remember?) and as a result begins to use fat for energy as opposed to carbs.
I have always wanted to travel to Europe. For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with Europe's history. The culture of Europe is so rich and beautiful. I have always wanted to sit at a small cafe in France and eat a giant bagette with copious amounts of delicious, expensive cheese. I would sip my wine and say things like "Yes, we are summering here." and I would only speak perfect French. And I would know all about the wine and cheese selection.
Here is what I am saying- winter sucks. And if it is cold as hell where you are, then you get me. Its grey. Its sometimes snowy. And the wind is out to get you.
If you are like me, you want to stay curled up in bed until the winter months pass. But, I can’t do that. For reasons including but not limited to - work and life and relationships.
So here we are. Stumbling out into the cold world and hoping to be soothed by some form of warmth.
I have the warmth for you though- a hot bowl of soup.
Lord help us all it is like a million degrees outside. I am permenately covered in a layer of sweat and self loathing.
Summer is great for things like swimming and boating- but it can be terrible for cooking. When it is 90+ outside, there is no way that you want to stand in front of a hot stove and fill your painstakingly cool house with heat.
So what do you do? You grill.
